February reminds us that service often shows up in the simplest, most human ways. Last week, our Service Committee organized a Valentine-making project, and Rotarians came together to create heartfelt cards for residents in assisted living facilities here in Waseca. These Valentines may be small in size, but they carry big meaning, offering connection, kindness, and a reminder that our neighbors are seen and valued. Thank you to everyone who took the time to participate and help spread a little extra love this season.

February is also Promoting Peace Month on the Rotary calendar. Peace is not only something we work toward globally, it begins locally, through understanding, compassion, and service. Every act of kindness, every hour volunteered, and every hand extended in friendship contributes to a more peaceful community.

Please also take note of a few important dates ahead:

• World Rotary Day will be celebrated on Monday, February 23, honoring the founding of Rotary and the impact our organization has made around the world.

• Our Club’s Charter Day is March 7, a time to reflect on the legacy of those who came before us and to recommit ourselves to Service Above Self.
