Moldova to Minnesota is only about 5,000 miles and a 15 hour flight. Bill Hoversten is going to join me in picking up the delegation at the airport on Friday. Little does Bill know, I've got matching outfits planned for us. . .ya know, so we'll be easy to spot. I'm not sure if I am more nervous that this is actually happening or that I'll be driving a bus for the first time with zero training.
Thank you to the Rotarians who have already stepped forward to help make this a successful venture for our Club. The Workes and Potters have been fantastic to host our visitors and some of you have already committed to taking the Moldovans out for dinner. Keep in mind that they are here to have fun as well as learn. Put yourself in their shoes, if you were on a work trip out of country, you would want your hosts to show you a good time. Brad likes to tell everyone how much fun he is, this is his opportunity to prove it.
Please make sure you RSVP to the event on Sunday April 23rd at 5:00pm to meet at Half Pint Brewing Company welcome the delegates from Moldova. We will enjoy some pizza from Pleasant Grove Pizza Farm and of course beer from Half Pint. If you don't drink, their root beer is outstanding and on the house! This experience should is a great way for us to get back into the international part of Rotary International. Also we will have our 5:01 on Thursday before they leave, at the Bar on Main. This will be your last opportunity to engage with the group. Please consider attending that as well.
