As we move into this season of gratitude, our Rotary Club has a special opportunity to make a meaningful difference for families right here in Waseca. Each year, we partner with our fellow service organizations, the Lions and the Exchange Club, to raise funds and collect donations for Thanksgiving meals at the local food shelf.

Last year, our participation was… well, less than stellar. Let’s be honest, we can do better. And this year, we must do better. Our community is counting on us.

To make things a little more fun, “Tom the Turkey” is back! Every donation earns a feather for Tom. Let’s make sure he isn’t bare this November. Bring your donations to our upcoming meetings, encourage coworkers and friends to chip in, and let’s show what Service Above Self really looks like.

We are also honored to welcome Representative Tom and Jeanne Sexton as our guest speakers. They will share reflections on raising a family during their years of military service, a reminder that gratitude isn’t just seasonal, but something we live out daily in appreciation for the families who serve alongside those in uniform.

Thank you, Rotarians, for the heart you bring to this community. Let’s rally, support our neighbors, and fill both the food shelf and Tom the Turkey with pride.
