Reflection Can Be Inspirational

As I write my President’s message this morning, I find myself reflecting deeply after attending the funerals of two beloved members of our Waseca community in recent weeks, Bea O’Brien and Bob Hoffman. Their impact on the lives of so many was undeniable, evident in the large gatherings of people who came to celebrate, mourn, and share heartfelt stories in their honor. They were both leaders—each in their own unique way. And to know them was truly to love them!

One common thread between Bea and Bob was their generosity of spirit. Did they give of themselves in the same way? Not necessarily. But they both served with unwavering dedication, leaving behind a legacy that inspires reflection. As I left their services, I couldn’t help but ask myself: What am I doing to make a difference? Both Bea and Bob were faithful servants, prioritizing their families, their communities, their churches, their workplaces, and the organizations they were passionate about. Their lives serve as a reminder that true leadership isn’t just about titles or recognition—it’s about the lives we touch and the impact we leave behind.

So, I ask you: What impact are you making?

PS - Good Luck to the Waseca Bluejay Boys Basketball Team at State this week!

Amy
