Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with me at the Farewell Party at the Pizza Farm.  My year as Co-President sure flew by. It was a great year getting to serve with my dear friend Amy Potter, as she has a true servant’s heart and inspires me to be a better person.  Until I became President, I never really knew what went into keeping our club running smoothly.  The Waseca Rotary Club is so fortunate to have such terrific board members that give of their time and talent.  Our club would be lost without the organizational leadership of Ann Fitch and Kristie Biehn behind the scenes.
 
I truly have a greater appreciation for Rotary from watching Ann’s passion towards this organization his past year.  Ann is an excellent example of Service Above Self.  She recently became an Assistant Governor for our District 5960. Specifically for Area 3, covering the Mankato, St Peter, Le Sueur, and Belle Plaine Clubs. She serve as a mentor for these Clubs and as liaison to the District. Ann chose to take on this role because she wanted to expand her participation in Rotary International.  Ann told me, “It is easy to get isolated in our fantastic Club, but we are part of a larger being. This position as an AG gives me an opportunity to get to know more Rotarians and serve more broadly. “ I would like to thank Ann for taking on this new leadership role, she is a great mentor for our Club! 
 
Thanks to everyone for letting me serve as your Co-President this past year!  I look forward to seeing what Amy and Cassie have in store for us next year!
