As most of you know, October 24th is World Polio Day. We recognize this day as Rotarians as the eradication of polio has been a main mission of Rotary International. There are only two countries left that don’t have polio eradicated – Afghanistan and Pakistan. This is due to the efforts of Rotarians worldwide. To honor this locally, Ann Fitch interviewed a polio survivor, Linda Christianson. Her story is being shared with grades 4 through 12 in Waseca Public Schools. This is an effort to educate our youth on the effects of this disease as many of them may not even be aware of its existence. Please enjoy watching Linda’s story when you have a free moment.
